Nordic Windpower Wins Two Clean Technology 'Top 100' Awards

BERKELEY, Calif., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ — Nordic Windpower, a rapidly growing
company which designs, manufactures and sells two-bladed, utility-scale wind
turbines, today announced it has been chosen for two high-profile awards for
innovative technology and market impact.

Tonight, Nordic Windpower will be honored with the GoingGreen Top 100 award
for the third consecutive year at the Going Green West summit at Cavallo Point
in Sausalito, CA, presented by AlwaysOn, a publisher, host to a Web-based
media network, and widely recognized chronicler of technology innovation.

Last week, Nordic Windpower was honored with the Global Cleantech 100 award at
the Cleantech XXIII Forum in Boston, at which Tom Carbone, Nordic Windpower
CEO was a speaker.  The Guardian News and Media and Cleantech Group(TM), LLC,
an esteemed provider of leading research, events and advisory services for the
cleantech industry, selected the awardees from 3500 companies nominated or
considered. In addition, Nordic Windpower will be recognized at Cleantech
Forums later this year in New Delhi and London.

"We are very pleased to be recognized internationally by these prestigious
clean technology and media organizations," said Thomas Carbone, Chief
Executive Officer of Nordic Windpower.  "The recognition reflects the
increasing global adoption of Nordic Windpower's revolutionary one megawatt
turbines, which are well-suited for community wind projects with trouble-free
maintenance and high reliability."

Inclusion in the GoingGreen 100 signifies major developments in the creation
of new business opportunities in the green and clean technology industries.
Nordic Windpower was specially selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and
industry experts spanning the globe based on a set of five criteria:
innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media
buzz.

"The GoingGreen Top 100 winners have excelled in key strategic areas in the
global clean energy technology markets," said Tony Perkins, founder and CEO of
AlwaysOn.

Nordic Windpower and the other GoingGreen Top 100 Award winners were selected
from among hundreds of other technology companies by investors, bankers,
journalists, and clean technology insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team
conducted a rigorous three-month search process to finalize the 2009 winners'
list.

The Guardian Group's Global Cleantech 100 is its first-ever list highlighting
the most promising private clean technology companies around the world.
Supported by the Carbon Trust, the Global Cleantech 100 recognizes companies
at the forefront of cleantech innovation offering solutions to some of the
world's most pressing environmental challenges.

The Global Cleantech 100 list represents the collective opinion of hundreds of
leading experts from cleantech innovation and venture capital companies in
EMEA, North America, India and China, including Google, Kleiner Perkins
Caulfield & Byers, and New York Stock Exchange.

"The first ever Global Cleantech 100 shines a spotlight on which companies and
which technology areas the global innovation community is most excited about
from a commercial standpoint," said Richard Youngman, managing partner at
Cleantech Group.
