New software helps installers locate and replace inverters affected by 3G shutdown

Source:Sunvoy

In the next few weeks, mobile carriers are shutting down their 3G networks to make room for newer technology. This will affect all 3G-enabled devices, including some solar inverters. Inverter warranties and SRECs will be affected by this issue, so installers will need to work with customers on upgrades.

The new, free 3G tool from Sunvoy, a sister company to installer Ipsun Solar, displays all 3G systems on a location-enabled map so O&M teams can efficiently locate and upgrade these systems.

The free 3G tool is a one-click fix that shows installers all of their affected systems on a location-enabled map. Integrates with Enphase Energy and SolarEdge inverters, with more to come. To access the information, installers just need to create a free account on Sunvoy and connect their Enphase or SolarEdge account.
