Hi-MO X10 solar panel of LONGi is a big hit in Africa with 555MW agreement

Solar & Storage Live Africa was held at the Johannesburg Convention and Exhibition Center in South Africa from March 25 to 27. As an annual event in the African energy field, the exhibition attracted many energy companies from all over the world.

LONGi took “Join hands to light up green Africa” as the exhibition theme, and made a wonderful appearance with the high-value Hi-MO X10 series solar modules for the global market. It also signed strategic agreements with many African partners, injecting momentum for LONGi to further expand the local market, demonstrating the strong potential of Chinese photovoltaic companies to flourish in the African market.

■ LONGi booth site

X10 breaks through and ignites the exhibition

At the booth, LONGi exhibited new products in the Hi-MO X10 single-sided and double-sided and anti-dust series. With high efficiency, high yield, aesthetic design and extremely safe performance, the Hi-MO X10 modules won the strong interest of the participating customers and quickly became the focus of the whole audience.

■ Dynamic shadow comparison experiment display

Longi also specially set up a dynamic shadow shielding demonstration area to simulate shielding scenes such as roof pipes and dust accumulation. The audience can operate it by hand and intuitively compare the difference in power generation stability between Hi-MO X10 modules and TOPCon modules.

■ On-site audience participated in the comparison test discussion

After visiting the site, many customers said that Longi was the only company in the venue that exhibited modules with anti-shadow shielding and anti-dust accumulation functions. After witnessing these unique functions, many viewers said they were very shocked and would choose to buy and experience Longi’s module products in person.

Witness of strength, climb to the top again

During the exhibition, Longi signed a framework agreement for the supply of Hi-MO X10 modules with a total capacity of 555MW with TOP distributors and several EPC companies, demonstrating customers’ high recognition of Longi’s product quality. Through close cooperation with all parties, Longi will further expand its market territory in Africa.

■ LONGi signs supply agreement with partners

Focusing on the high yield and reliability of components that African customers are concerned about, the LONGi Africa team explained in detail the core value advantages of this flagship product in the highlight explanation session of Hi-MO X10 components.

Hi-MO X10 is a new generation of distributed component products launched by LONGi, built on HPBC 2.0 battery technology. The maximum mass production power can reach 670W, which is more than 30W higher than the mainstream TOPCon component power of the same size. The efficiency of mass production components can reach up to 24.8%, fully releasing the power generation potential of limited installation area and greatly increasing customers’ power generation income.

In order to eliminate the hidden dangers caused by shading, the unique bypass diode structure of Hi-MO X10 components can effectively reduce component power loss and prevent local overheating. The temperature is 28% lower than that of conventional batteries, and it is not afraid of high temperatures. The stable operation of components and roof safety are guaranteed. The efficient and reliable Hi-MO X10 modules can maximize power generation even in complex environments and improve the return on investment over the entire life cycle.

During the seminar, LONGi technical experts conducted in-depth exchanges with professionals such as EPCs, distributors and installers from all over Africa, and gained a comprehensive insight into the industry-leading technical advantages and broad application prospects of Hi-MO X10 modules.

Value empowerment, recognition by customers across the entire industry chain

At the exhibition, the LONGi team demonstrated the value calculation of Hi-MO X10 modules and shared project practices, which was highly recognized by customers in the industry chain.

■ “African Solar Energy Forum” live broadcast

In the live broadcast event of the “African Solar Energy Forum” organized by LONGi, EPCs, distributors, installers and owner representatives jointly discussed industry pain points and revealed the four leading innovative highlights of Hi-MO X10 modules: “high, rich, handsome and safe”. The guests participating in the live broadcast also shared their success stories of working together with LONGi, further highlighting LONGi’s leading role in global energy transformation.

■ Staff and customers take photos at the booth

As Sun Xianming, head of LONGi’s African representative office, said at the exhibition: “Photovoltaic is not an alternative energy source for Africa, but an indispensable necessity.”

The Hi-MO X10 module is committed to providing clean, efficient and affordable energy for homes, businesses and industries. Sun Xianming said, “The 555MW Hi-MO X10 module cooperation memorandum signed by LONGi and its partners not only demonstrates the partners’ trust in LONGi’s technical strength and industry leadership, but also marks that the large-scale development and application of solar energy in Africa has entered the fast lane of development.”

The South African Solar and Energy Storage Exhibition was founded in 1998 and is currently the largest energy exhibition in South Africa. Following the establishment of LONGi’s South African office in November 2024 and the launch of the Hi-MO X10 module new product, this exhibition has become another important milestone in LONGi’s “Lighting up Africa”  blueprint. In the future, LONGi will continue to firmly implement the development vision of “Lighting up Africa” and contribute more to Africa’s sustainable future.
