The 15th of March 2013 marks the commencement of cooperation between Clenergy International and the School of Energy Research, Xiamen University. Daniel Hong, CEO of Clenergy, and Li Ning, the president of the Xiamen University School of Energy Research, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties. The agreement was signed at the founding ceremony of the Haixi New Energy Industry Alliance in Xiamen International Exhibition Centre.

Both parties consider the relationship as a win-win partnership promoting renewable energy technologies, especially in the Haixi Economic Zone, along the west coast of the Taiwan Straits. Xiamen University is one of China's top-tier universities and a World TOP 500 University. Xiamen University founded the School of Energy Research in 2007 to conduct research and develop technology in the fields of advanced nuclear energy, solar energy, chemical energy, bio-energy, energy efficiency engineering and energy economics. It has established close cooperation with high-profile enterprises such as CGN Group, China Datang Corporation and prestigious universities abroad such as MIT and Imperial College. According to the partnership agreement, the two partners will work closely to integrate state-of-art technologies into a showcase for energy efficiency and a platform for developing renewable energy applications. The two parties will work together in future government projects and PV projects in China and the world. An interactive platform for personnel training is another portion of the partnership. With rich real-world experience, Clenergy will share its PV market resources with the School of Energy Research. Through the partner’s EDP (Executive Development Program), project training and other advance training programs, Clenergy will reinforce its R&D strength and human resources.

As founding sponsors of the Haixi New Energy Industry Alliance, the two partners will jointly promote the development of the renewable energy industry in the region. Since Clenergy’s establishment in 2007, “making renewable energy accessible and affordable” has been the company’s mission statement. Clenergy has become a market-leading enterprise through its commitment to innovation, quality and service.
