Teollisuuden Voima Oy, the Finnish power company that is building Europe's first nuclear reactor since the Chernobyl disaster, said a British worker who fell from a turbine platform at the construction site last Monday has died from his injuries.

The accident is still being investigated, the Olkiluoto, Finland-based company said in a statement on its Web site. Areva SA is the main contractor for the Olkiluoto-3 plant, which is at least two years behind schedule.
