Texas wind energy farm gains investors

GE Energy Financial Services and JP Morgan Chase jointly invested $225 million into NextEra Energy Resources’ 662.5 MW capacity Capricorn Ridge wind power plant in Texas.


NextEra remains the majority owner of the project. GE Energy Financial Services has invested in 2,143 MW of wind farms in Texas.


The wind farm has been in operations since 2007 and uses 342 GE (NYSE: GE) 1.5 MW turbines and 65 Siemens (NYSE: SI) 2.3 MW turbines.
