SJVN Limited, a joint venture between the central government and Himachal Pradesh government, has invited bids for the end-to-end services, including design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 75 MW solar project at Parasan Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh.
The successful bidder will also have to take care of the comprehensive operation and maintenance activities of the project for three years.
The bidding document mandates that the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work should be completed within 15 months from the date on which the letter is issued to the contractor for handing over of land by SJVN. This date would, in turn, be decided depending on when the Lucknow Solar Power Development Corporation hands over the land for the project.
The last date to submit the bids is June 11, 2021, and bids will be opened on the same day.
The pre-bid meeting will take place on May 31.
The EPC vendors enlisted with SJVN will be eligible to participate in this tender.
The bidder’s annual average turnover in the last three financial years ending on March 31 of the last financial year should not be less than ?1.125 billion (~?15.41 million).
The bidding document further states that the bidder’s net worth in two out of the last three financial years should be positive. If the bidder does not satisfy the annual turnover criteria, its holding company must meet the stipulated turnover requirements, notes the document.
As per the bidding document, preference to micro, small, and medium enterprises registered with National Small Industries Corporation or start-ups as recognized by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) will be governed by the regulations of the Government of India issued from time to time.
Recently, SJVN won a 100 MW solar project in the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s auction. The projects are to be set up at the Raghanesda Solar Park in Gujarat (Phase-X). SJVN quoted a tariff of ?2.64 (~$0.036)/kWh for the 100 MW capacity.
In December last year, SJVN had floated a notice inviting expressions of interest to enlist EPC vendors to develop 100 MW of solar projects in the country. The scope of work included the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, inspection, installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the projects.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, SJVN has tendered 1.2 GW of solar power projects as of April 2021.
