Renewable Energy Generation Ltd., a developer and owner of wind farms, extended an agreement on power sales from its U.K. wind farms until March 2011.
The agreement with Smartest Energy, a subsidiary of Marubeni Corp., covers 21.3 megawatts, the Channel Islands-based company said today in a statement distributed by Regulatory News Service.
Renewable Energy will receive around 75 pounds ($149) a megawatt hour from April 2009, up from 45 pounds a megawatt hour today, the company said. The agreement doesn't cover so-called renewable obligation certificates, the company said.
