REIL Issues Tender for 7,000 Monocrystalline, Mono PERC Solar Modules

The last date to submit the bids is November 19, 2021

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL), a joint venture between the government of India and the government of Rajasthan, has invited bids to procure 7,000 solar modules with a wattage output of 380 W to 390 W made from 72 monocrystalline or mono passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) solar cells.
The last date to submit bids is November 19, 2021. Bids will be opened on the next day.
Bidders are not required to pay an earnest money deposit. Successful bidders are required to furnish a performance bank guarantee for 5% of the contract value.
The successful bidder must deliver the modules before December 15, 2021, in three lots from the contract’s starting date.
The efficiency of the modules should be more than 18%. The modules should be 100% potential-induced degradation tolerant and comply with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)-62804.
The cells used for module making should be free from all defects like edge chipping, breakages, printing defects, and discoloration of the top surface.
The modules should perform satisfactorily in relative humidity up to 85% and temperatures between -10°C and +50°C. The modules should be designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 130 km/hour. The peak power point voltage and the peak power point current of any supplied module should not vary by more than 2% from the respective arithmetic mean of all modules or module strings.
The glass used to make the modules should be toughened low iron glass with a minimum thickness of 3.2/4.0 mm for a 72-cell module. The glass used should have a transmittance of above 90%. The glass must have a bending of less than 0.3%.
Only Indian solar module manufacturers listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) or their authorized dealers or distributors will be eligible to participate in the bidding process.
The successful bidder should provide a warranty of ten years from the date of sale to REIL against manufacturing defects and failures.
The peak output capacity of the solar modules should not be less than 90% of its rated power after ten years and 80% after 25 years from the date of final commissioning of the project.
Last month, in a similar tender, REIL invited bids to procure 7,000 solar modules of minimum 380 W to 390 W made from 72 monocrystalline or mono PERC solar cells.
Earlier, REIL had invited bids for contract manufacturing of 6,500 polycrystalline solar photovoltaic modules.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, REIL has issued tenders to procure 102,610 solar modules to date.
