CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission is creating a new office that will focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
It will be called the Office for Sustainable Energy.
The office is being created following the Legislature's passage last year of new standards for electricity providers and the potential passage of greenhouse gas legislation.
It's anticipated that that a renewable energy fund may be in excess of $10 million next year and continue to grow. It would be used to support thermal and electrical renewable energy initiatives, including solar energy technologies, in New Hampshire.
