Petrotech says IC Green Energy may drop Petrotec bid

German market regulators have exempted IC Green Energy from making a mandatory takeover offer for shares it does not own in Petrotec (PT8G.DE), the German biodiesel maker said late Friday.

A statement from Petrotec said Tel Aviv-listed IC Green Energy had informed it about the Feb. 26 decision made by German Financial Services Authority BAFin.

IC Green Energy holds 42.83 percent voting rights in Petrotec and had asked BAFin in December to let it drop its planned takeover offer for Petrotec. [ID:nL9329989]
