Ottawa Feds to announce $9.2-m for Digby County wind farm

Ottawa will announce an investment worth up to $9.2 million for Nova Scotia Power's wind farm in Digby County this afternoon, according to a source in the public sector.

The funding will come from the federal government's renewable power program. Funding of up to $63.8 million for alternative energy projects will be announced simultaneously across the country, the source said.

Greg Kerr, the MP for West Nova, will make the Nova Scotia announcement at the wind farm at 1 p.m.
