Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure completes 12 MW of solar projects in New York and Rhode Island

Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure has completed the installation of new solar projects in New York and Rhode Island totaling 12 MWDC of capacity, bringing its total operating fleet to 57 projects and 62 MW.

The New York project is located in Rushford and serves over 800 household customers through New York’s NY-Sun community solar program. The Rhode Island project is located in West Greenwich. It serves the University of Rhode Island and the towns of Narragansett and South Kingston.

“These projects continue KSI’s leadership in the distributed generation market. They further our mission of providing clean power, energy savings and positive impacts to the communities we serve,” said John Chaimanis, managing director of KSI.

KSI partners with regional developers and EPC contractors in order to maximize local impact.

KSI is one of the few independent fund-based developers and owners of distributed scale projects in the U.S. Other companies in the distributed market are backed by large strategic or financial capital sources or structured as corporations. KSI’s independent fund structure provides KSI funds with flexibility and adaptability. It allows sophisticated investors including institutions, family offices and high net worth individuals to participate in the growing distributed generation markets.
