Bank of Ireland, the country's largest lender by assets, said it planned a series of initiatives totalling 200 million euros to support environmentally friendly projects such as wind farms.

Shares in the bank were up 6 percent at 0.358 euros at 1000 GMT in line with a rise in financial stocks overseas. ($1=.7738 euros)
