Alliant Energy starts construction on 50-MW Wisconsin solar project

On June 6, Alliant Energy executives and team members were joined by construction partners, community leaders, neighbors and participating landowners to mark the beginning of panel installation at the 50-MW Beaver Dam Solar Project site. The Beaver Dam Solar Project, located just east of Beaver Dam in Dodge County, Wisconsin, is part of Alliant Energy’s Clean Energy Blueprint, a strategic roadmap to cost-effectively accelerate renewable energy development and reduce carbon emissions.

Construction on this site is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

In total, Alliant Energy’s Clean Energy Blueprint includes the development of 12 utility-scale solar projects in Wisconsin that will provide nearly 1,100 MW of energy once operational. Three projects totaling 250 MW went into service in late 2022 and the remaining nine are currently under construction.
