US Solar Institute Announces New License from FL Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation

US Solar Institute reports earning a license from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for continuing education credit units (CEU). These units are required for all construction related license holders registered or certified in the state of Florida. Starting January 2011, appropriate engineers, electricians, contractors, building officials, plan reviewers, inspectors, and code officials may earn professional continuing education credit units simply by attending any of US Solar Institute's approved courses.

This recognition by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a continuing education provider only adds to US Solar Institute's impressive resume of licensure, certifications and accreditations.  Many consider US Solar Institute the premier solar education and solar training provider in Florida, Caribbean, and Latin America.  As a Florida licensed solar educational institute, students who complete US Solar Institute's program earn a recognized Florida Department of Education Diploma in either Photovoltaics or Solar Thermal systems.  The addition of this license only provides additional evidence that US Solar Institute provides the most real world solar training available today.

Since many of US Solar Institute's students come from outside of the Florida market in 2011 US Solar Institute will also earn ANSI/IACET continuing educational accreditation thus allowing professionally licensed contractors, building officials, plan reviewers and inspectors the opportunity to come from anywhere in the United States and world to earn their continuing education credits.

US Solar Institute is a Licensed Florida Department of Education Vocational College, the first in South Florida to be a NABCEP Registered Provider of the PV Entry Level Exam, and now a licensed continuing education provider.
