Reliance Power Plans 200-Megawatt Wind Project in Western India

Reliance Power Ltd. (RPWR), controlled by billionaire Anil Ambani, plans to invest 15 billion rupees ($332 million) to build a 200-megawatt wind power project in western India.


The Vashpet wind farm in Maharashtra state is expected to be completed by September 2012 and could be expanded to 400 megawatts, the company said in an e-mail. The farm will sell its output to Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. (RELI)
