LG Electronics' 1st Solar Cell Line To Start Mass Production In Jan

South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. Tuesday said its first solar cell line will start mass production from next month.


In October 2008, the electronics maker said it would invest a total of KRW220.2 billion ($186 million) by the end of 2010 to build two lines producing solar cells and modules.


LG Electronics said in a statement it will begin mass production at its second facility in 2011.
