IEA report sees biofuels reaching 27% of transport fuel by 2050

A new report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) says the widespread use of sustainable biofuels can play an important role in reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector and enhancing energy security.


With the transportation sector growing considerably, and demand for transport fuels rising globally, the IEA regards biofuels as one of the key technologies to reduce carbon emissions and dependency on liquid transport fuels.
