Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JDVVNL) has announced a bidding process for the installation and commissioning of 25 grid-connected solar power projects in the Balesar, Dechu, Sekhala, and Shergarh subdivisions of Jodhpur circle.

Interested bidders must submit their proposals online by August 2, 2023, and the bids will be opened on August 4.

These projects, which fall under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program for feeder level solarization, will have a combined capacity of 64.48 MW. The renewable energy service company (RESCO) model will be adopted for their development.

The selected developer will be responsible for various tasks, including design, survey, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects. They will also handle the operation and maintenance for a period of 25 years from the commissioning date. Additionally, the developer will be in charge of the supply, erection, and maintenance of the associated 33 kV or 11 kV line connecting the solar projects with the relevant substations.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹350 crore/MW. Bidders are required to provide an earnest money deposit of ₹1 crore/MW of the quoted capacity. The successful bidder must submit a performance bank guarantee equivalent to ₹5 crore/MW of the allotted capacity within a month of receiving the work order. The project is expected to be completed within nine months of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA), which will have a duration of 25 years and will be executed between the selected bidder and the Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam.
