Cernavoda nuke plant puts out over 5.6M MWh, in H1 of 2011

The two units of Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant (located southeast of Bucharest) put out 5.644 million MWh electricity, in the first half of 2011, and about 5.2 million MWh of it were supplied to the National Electricity Grid, Nuclearelectrica's web page reads.

United 1 made 3.037 million MWh in the first six months of this year, and delivered over 2.792 million MWh, recording an average capacity factor worth 99.70 percent, while Unit 2 generated 2.607 million MWh and supplied 2.404 million MWh with an average capacity factor worth 85.2 percent because of the planned shutdown in May.

Since it became operational till end June, the two Units put out 101.68 million MWh and supplied 93.809 million MWh to the Grid.
