1.8 MW solar photovoltaic energy project completed

Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG) and McCormick & Co. Inc. (NYSE: MKC) completed a 1.8 MW solar installation at McCormick's 363,000-square-foot distribution center in Belcamp, Md. It uses 7,491 roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar panels.

Along with the company's 1 MW installation at McCormick's Spice Mill in Hunt Valley, Md. that was brought online in 2008, this brings the company's total amount of installed capacity to nearly 3 MW.

Constellation Energy developed, owns and maintains the solar power systems at McCormick's Belcamp and Hunt Valley locations. In return, McCormick purchases all of the electricity generated by the solar panels under separate 20-year power purchase agreements.
