On September 12, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the fourth batch of green manufacturing lists. Yinchuan LONGi Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. was selected as one of the nine finalists in Ningxia Autonomous Region, which was also the second “national green factory” under LONGi Group.
The green manufacturing project is one of the five major projects of “Made in China 2025”. In 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the establishment of demonstration units and products for green manufacturing systems, which aims to promote the green development of the whole industry chain and the product life cycle. with enterprises as the main body and green factories, green products, green parks and green supplies as the main content of the green manufacturing system, based on an open and transparent third-party evaluation mechanism and standard system, it is aimed at implementing the “Made in China 2025” “Green Manufacturing Engineering Implementation Guide (2016-2020)” to accelerate the promotion of green manufacturing.
Among them, “green factory” refers to a factory that realizes intensification of land, harmless raw materials, clean production, wastes recycling, and low-carbon energy. The evaluation requires that green factories should introduce the life cycle idea and use green materials, processes, technologies and equipment, meeting the comprehensive requirements of the standards and conducting continuous improvement under the premise of guaranteeing product function, quality and human safety in the production process.
For a long time, with a high sense of social responsibility, LONGi actively implements the concept of green manufacturing, passes the environmental management system certification, and compiles the EHS program. It controls the production, treatment and emission of energy dissipation, water deprivation and waste water, waste gas and solid waste and strengthens investment in environmental protection and facility maintenance, ensuring high environmental standards in production and operation. And it regularly publishes social responsibility reports, invite environmental organizations and news media to the factory for communication and supervision.
Yinchuan LONGi, which was shortlisted for the fourth batch of “national green factories”, focuses on the green energy industry at the beginning of its establishment, continuously improves comprehensive utilization efficiency, upgrades energy-saving and environmentally-friendly technologies, adopts new technologies, achieving fruitful results in the innovation and application of key technologies in green manufacturing. Through the argon recovery, the upgrading of monocrystalline circulating water system and extensive utilization of renewable energy, it has saved a lot of resources and funds, and implemented the concept of green production.

Before Yinchuan LONGi was nominated for the “National Green Factory”, LONGi had been awarded the “National Green Factory” in the second batch of “Green Manufacturing List” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has been selected in the four batches of lists twice, which also reflect the national recognition for the green manufacturing concept of LONGi.
