The Solar Energy Corporation of India, on behalf of state-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), had invited bids to set up an aggregate 81 MW solar capacity at the coal miner’s different sites in Telangana.

The deadline for 34 MW (AC) ground based solar project—originally set for April 20—has now been extended until May 13. The 34 MW grid-connected, ground-mounted projects—to be set on turnkey basis—shall come up at SCCL’s Chennur (11 MW) and Kothagudam (23 MW) sites.

Bids for 32 MW (AC) solar plant can be submitted till May 15 against the previous deadline of April 22. The grid-interactive solar capacity—to be developed on turnkey basis—shall come up at SCCL’s over burden dump at Ramagundam (22 MW) and Dorli (10 MW) sites in Peddapalli district of Telangana.

The deadline for 15 MW (AC) floating solar has been extended by two weeks from May 4 to May 18. The capacity—to be developed in turnkey mode—shall come up at Singareni Thermal Power Plant storage reservoir (10 MW) and Dorli open-cast project void (5 MW).

Each of the three capacities shall be awarded to a single bidder selected after reverse auction. However, there will be separate contract agreements for the separate sites.
