NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) has invited bids to set up a 50 MW grid-connected solar power plant—on ‘design, build, operate and transfer’ basis—at Panchet power station of Damodar Valley Corporation in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.
The EPC work for the solar project shall be awarded in a single block of 50 MW. The plant shall be developed under Open Category, which means PV cell and modules of any origin can be used. However, models and manufacturers thereof must be included in the “Approved List of Models and Manufacturers” published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The selected bidder shall be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the plant. It shall also provide three years of operation and maintenance support, and annual maintenance contract services for critical equipment for a period of ten years.
Setting up of all the necessary infrastructure for connectivity and evacuation of the power generated from the solar project up to 33KV bus at DVC-Panchet switchyard shall be in the scope of the bidder.
Both crystalline silicon (CSi) or thin-film modules are allowed. Crystalline silicon modules should have minimum 300Wp peak power rating and minimum 15% efficiency under standard test conditions.
Thin-film solar cells shall have minimum 110W peak power rating and minimum 15% efficiency under standard test conditions.
