State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has invited global bids for supply of 1500V 3-phase grid-connected outdoor power conditioning units for a 2x50MW solar plant at Raghanesda in Gujarat that is being set up for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited.
The vendor’s scope also includes commissioning of the supplied units at the project site for synchronizing the generated AC power with low-voltage (LV) side of a transformer that connects to 33 kV grid on high-voltage (HV) side.
Further, the vendor shall provide comprehensive warranty for 60 months from the date of commissioning or 63 months from date of supply, whichever is earlier.
Supply and installation of the integrated SCADA system for the overall power plant is within BHEL scope.
To be eligible, the manufacturer should have supplied and commissioned minimum 100 MW cumulative capacity of central inverters for solar plants.
The PCUs shall be rated for minimum 2.5 MW and maximum 5 MW. These should have inbuilt microprocessor-based maximum power point tracker (MPPT) to maximize energy drawn from the solar PV array. The MPPT unit shall conform to IEC 62093 for design qualification. Further, the PCU shall have necessary communication protocol and output ports to facilitate SCADA interface.
