Solar energy project gains partner in NV Energy

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has contracted with NV Energy for a 25-year power purchase agreement for the 37.5 MW Spectrum Solar power plant in Nevada.


Fotowatio will finance, develop, own and operate the photovoltaic power plant. Construction is expected to begin in 2011 and it is expected to be operational by late 2012.


NV Energy submitted the application for approval from to the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada to enter into a long-term power purchase agreement for the plant.
