RES sees financial close for Roos wind farm in the UK

Renewable energy developer RES has closed a financing deal for its 17.1 MW Roos Wind Farm in Yorkshire, UK.


The wind farm has been financed with Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets and KfW IPEX-Bank.


The 17.1 MW wind farm will consist of 9 Vestas V90-1.9 MW wind turbines, which are due to be delivered in autumn 2012. The power will be sold to Scottish Power Retail Energy Ltd. when it becomes commissioned in spring 2013.


Roos Wind Farm is committed to providing a community fund of £36,000 per year. and RES is already providing a pre-construction fund of £5000 per year over two years.
