Tongwei receives 550MW photovoltaic module supply order

Recently, during the Solar&Storage Live Africa exhibition in South Africa, Tongwei and Hangzhou Haixing Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Haixing Electric Power”) signed a 550MW photovoltaic module supply agreement to further deepen the strategic cooperation in the South African market.

Zhang Zhiyi, Sales Director of Southeast Africa of Haixing Electric Power, and Gao Jiangjiang, Head of Module Marketing in Southern Africa of Tongwei Photovoltaic Business Department, attended the signing ceremony. Wang Jianguo, South African Country Manager of Haixing Liward, and Song Gaoyan, Senior Sales Manager of Module Marketing in Southern Africa of Tongwei Photovoltaic Business Department, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. This cooperation is the fourth cooperation between Tongwei and Haixing Electric Power in the South African market, which fully reflects the high degree of mutual trust and long-term win-win situation between the two parties in promoting the development of clean energy in Africa.

Since the strategic cooperation started in 2022, Tongwei and Haixing Electric Power have continued to deepen their presence in the South African photovoltaic market, writing a new chapter in China-Africa new energy cooperation. At the end of 2022, during the 30th anniversary celebration of Haixing Power, the two parties signed the first strategic cooperation agreement in the South African market, officially kicking off the cooperation; during the SNEC exhibition in 2023, the signing of the 500MW framework agreement will raise the scale of cooperation to a new level; in 2024, the implementation of the 150MW procurement agreement once again demonstrated the determination of both parties to promote South Africa’s energy transformation. The conclusion of this 550MW cooperation agreement not only achieved the growth of the scale of cooperation between the two parties, but also will strongly promote the development of the renewable energy industry in South Africa and even the entire southern Africa.

Haixing Power has been deeply involved in the overseas market for 30 years. For many years, it has been committed to providing green energy and smart grid solutions to global customers. It has factories, companies and representative offices in many countries around the world, and continues to provide green energy products and energy management solutions to residents, industrial and commercial and public utilities, helping to popularize green and clean energy.

Since entering the component field, Tongwei has always been focusing on product research and development with higher customer value and constantly striving for excellence. On March 20, after testing by T?V, an internationally authoritative certification agency, the front power of Tongwei TNC-G12R modules reached 682.8 watts and the conversion efficiency reached 25.28% under the standard size of 2382*1134mm; the power of Tongwei TNC-G12 modules reached 778.5 watts and the conversion efficiency reached 25.06% under the standard size of 2384*1303mm, which were about 60 watts higher than the mainstream power of the same version in mass production in the current market, and once again refreshed the module efficiency and power records of the two mainstream versions of TOPCon.

At the same time, Tongwei fully exploited the advantages of TOPCon with the four major technologies of TNC2.0. At the technical research and development level, the bifacial rate of Tongwei TOPCon bifacial modules has achieved a breakthrough of 88%+ (third-party certification has been obtained). By using 908 technology (Tongwei’s self-developed 0BB technology), steel screen printing, EPT edge passivation technology, Poly Tech and other high-efficiency process technologies, a comprehensive improvement in bifaciality and efficiency has been achieved, which can achieve significant power generation gains and inject more vitality into South Africa’s energy accessibility and green development process through efficiency evolution.
