TBEA launchs grid energy storage system solution

On April 10, the 13th Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition was grandly opened at the Capital International Convention and Exhibition Center.

TBEA New Energy brought a variety of innovative photovoltaic storage solutions such as grid-building string energy storage systems.

At the exhibition, TBEA New Energy launched a grid-building string energy storage system solution with its leading advantages in energy storage solutions and keen insight into industry pain points.

With the increase in the proportion of renewable energy power generation, the power system presents “double high” characteristics. New power systems have put forward higher requirements for energy storage technology. It is urgent to meet traditional functional requirements while having grid-building support capabilities. TBEA New Energy released a grid-building string energy storage system solution, with mass group control technology as the core, to solve the four major problems of voltage stability, frequency stability, power quality control, and control system decoupling in new power systems.

The grid-type string energy storage system solution displayed at this exhibition adopts a hierarchical intelligent control architecture, supports reactive voltage regulation, primary frequency regulation, black start and other full-scenario grid support capabilities, and demonstrates the four major advantages of “strong support, extremely stable, high safety, and low cost”.

The grid-type string energy storage system solution independently developed by TBEA New Energy quickly won the trust of users through efficient and stable product performance and intelligent service guarantee system, and completed global batch application.

At the scene, the new smart photovoltaic power generation system built by TS330KTL-HV-C1 string inverter attracted a lot of attention. The solution adopts adaptive algorithms and grid-type technology to automatically match the grid impedance, operate stably in extremely weak grid environments, and adapt to complex scenarios such as deserts and plateaus. The product has a maximum conversion efficiency of 99.04% and is perfectly compatible with various types of components. With the excellent characteristics and innovative design of good grid connection, safe and reliable, efficient power generation, and intelligent operation and maintenance, it creates a more efficient, smarter, more reliable, better user experience and higher return on investment photovoltaic system for customers.

Traditional power stations need to install inverters and boost transformers separately, with many equipment, complex lines, large land area and long construction time. TBEA New Energy Company launched a 4.4MW centralized inverter-boost integrated machine solution, which combines the two into one, adapts to large-scale photovoltaic arrays, reduces initial investment, and uses TBEA New Energy’s self-developed amorphous alloy three-dimensional coil transformer to reduce its no-load loss by 67%, saving nearly 10,000 yuan per year. The solution has been applied on a large scale in the 1GW photovoltaic project of Tengger Huadian University Base.

In view of the high electricity prices and strong fluctuations in industrial and commercial scenarios, TBEA New Energy launched the TE-125kW/261kWh-2h industrial and commercial energy storage integrated cabinet solution. It has the characteristics of extreme safety, economic efficiency, intelligent flexibility and extreme protection.

The solution is configured through a modular energy storage system and is suitable for full-scenario operation of industrial and commercial energy storage. The modular design is suitable for scenarios such as factories and parks, storing low-priced electricity during the day and discharging during peak hours to earn the difference, and automatically supplying power to ensure production during power outages, eliminating the need for diesel generators. It is also possible to connect rooftop photovoltaic, energy storage and other equipment into a “virtual power plant” to sell electricity to the grid or participate in peak load regulation, with higher returns and more flexible electricity use. For example, in a 500kW/1044kWh project in an industrial park in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, the peak-valley price difference strategy was used to save 35% of electricity costs.

In the face of voltage instability and power “waste” caused by large-scale grid connection of photovoltaic and wind power, TBEA New Energy launched a wind power/photovoltaic dedicated intelligent reactive power compensation system, which works with energy storage equipment to achieve the coordination of reactive power compensation and active power regulation, improve power quality and system stability, and achieve millisecond-level precise regulation of reactive power in new energy stations through autonomous SVG cluster control technology, helping to build a highly flexible new power system.

TBEA New Energy’s reactive power management solution has won multiple patents and has been deployed on a large scale in the northwest new energy high penetration area to support the safe operation of the power grid. For example, in the successful application of the Saudi Red Sea off-grid energy storage project, 10 SVG devices operated independently through the Droop strategy to stabilize the 110kV side power grid and improve power quality. After the project is put into operation, the power factor of the island power grid will be increased to 0.98, effectively suppressing load shocks and voltage fluctuations.
