[International Energy Network On-site Report] On December 11, the side event on “Technological Innovation for Eco-friendly Desert Photovoltaic Power Plants” was held in the China Pavilion located in the Blue Zone of the COP16 venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This side event was hosted by Energy Transition and Social Development Research Center,School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, and co-organized by Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences,and China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute,and International Energy Network.
The conference aimed to focus on the key issues and challenges in the construction and management of desert photovoltaic power stations, this session will explore how technological innovation can be used to achieve the eco-friendly development of photovoltaic power stations. Enterprises and institutions that have achieved remarkable results in the construction and management of desert photovoltaic power stations are invited to share their successful experiences and innovative practices.

According to PVInfoLink statistics, Akram introduced that the company’s solar cell shipments ranked first globally in the first half of 2024.
