Rising Sun Energy, a New Delhi-based independent power producer, has extended the bid submission deadline for engineering, procurement, and construction of 190 MW grid-connected solar projects at Nokh Solar Park in Rajasthan.
The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for three years from the commercial operation date.
The last date for the submission of bids has been pushed to May 12, 2021. Earlier the date was May 4, 2021.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging, transportation, storage, installation, commissioning, and conducting performance guarantee tests of the project at the site.
Rising Sun Energy had won 190 MW of solar projects quoting a tariff of ?2.25 (~$0.031)/kWh in NTPC Limited’s auction for 190 MW of grid-connected solar projects at Nokh Solar Park in Rajasthan. NTPC had floated this tender in January 2021 to select developers for setting up the projects at the solar park.
To participate in the bidding process, the bidder should have designed, supplied, and commissioned grid-connected solar projects of cumulative installed capacity of 570 MW or above before the bid opening date. The bidder should have offered O&M services for a capacity of 150 MW or above each year for the last three years before the bid opening date.
The cumulative turnover of the bidder should not be less than ?10 billion (~$135.36 million) during the last three financial years before the bid opening date.
Within ten days of the receipt of the notification of award, the successful bidder should furnish performance securities for 10% of the contract price.
The 980 MW solar park at Nokh village in the district of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan is being developed by the Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company, a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation, which was incorporated in 2021 for developing infrastructure and managing solar parks in the state.
This year, NTPC invited bids to build 735 MW of grid-connected solar projects in three blocks of 245 MW each at the Nokh Solar Park. The scope of work included the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning of the projects, along with the complete engineering, procurement, and construction.
