Hanwha Q Cells Co.’s winning of major global solar energy industry prizes is expected to help the unit of South Korean Hanwha Solutions Corp. cement its world’s dominant position in the sector.
Hanwha Q Cells said on Thursday it was selected as a top brand for 2023 in the solar module awareness and satisfaction survey by EUPD Research, a global analysis firm. Hanwha Q Cells, the largest player in the US residential and commercial solar module market, has been on the top brand list in Europe for 10 years and in the Americas for two years.
The company bagged the grand prize at Germany Life & Living Awards 2023 in the solar energy category, winning the prize for a fourth straight year. The award is organized by the German news channel n-tv and the German Institute for Service Quality.
Hanwha Q Cells also said it has been recognized as a top performer for the eighth consecutive year in the 2023 PV Module Reliability Scorecard, published by downstream solar industry PV Evolution Labs of the US, thanks to the popularity of its Q.PEAK DUO module series.
Those awards resulted from strict quality control and technology, Hanwha Q Cells said. The company applies standards of up to three times the assessment system of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for internal quality control. It also provides customers with the industry’s longest output guarantee period.
“We will satisfy our global customers with excellent products and services,” said Hanwha Q Cells CEO Lee Koo Yung.
