On the eve of May 1, China Guodian Corporation convened a conference to commend the model workers. Zhang Xi of Longyuan Tibet branch and Wang Jianguo of Longyuan Liaoning branch were included by the list. Following the principle of "democratic recommendation from bottom to up", the selection of model workers is made step by step. The recommendation conference is held every three years.
Zhang Xi now serves as president and Party branch secretary of Longyuan Tibet New Energy Co., Ltd. Since coming to work in Tibet in 2007, Zhang Xi has attached significant importance to strengthening management and improving efficiency, encouraged all the staff members to continuously carry forward the hard-working spirit of the older generation of Longyuan people working in Tibet, and actively made innovations on the roof of the world. Led by him, this company achieved numerous NO. 1 in China Longyuan Power. Cases in point include: it successfully developed the first geothermal project in Yangbajain and the PV project with the highest altitude; it successfully brought the first water optical storage micro-grid PV project into operation in Ngari; it started to build the only high-altitude wind power station in Tibet; and it started to build Tibet's largest PV power station in Xigaze (with the designed installed capacity of 60MW). Under the leadership of Zhang Xi, Longyuan Tibet branch has become an influential figure within the new energy sector of Tibet. Zhang once won a number of awards such as the "Labor Medal" in the national energy and chemical system, "Outstanding CPC Member" in China Guodian Corporation, "One Hundred Excellent Workers", and "Outstanding Management Awards" of China Longyuan Power.
Wang Jianguo now serves as vice director of the overhaul division of Longyuan Liaoning branch. Wang became a maintenance worker in China Longyuan Power in 2006. Since then, starting from the overhaul work at the grass-roots level, he has always kept his feet on the ground, worked hard and studied assiduously and made constant efforts in innovation and now grown into an excellent manager in the wind power industry. During the overhaul of wind turbines, he is good at dealing with the practical problems. He has completed a few technical transformations and innovations, including five utility model patents and two China Guodian Corporation's excellent rationalization proposal awards. These helped improve the performance and power generation of the turbines. Wang Jianguo is broad-minded. He is always ready to lend a helping hand to the colleagues at the working site and remove the technical problems in various kinds rapidly and effectively. He was once granted with honorable titles like "Technical Experts of the Central Enterprises", "Ten Outstanding Party Members" of China Guodian Corporation, and "One Hundred Excellent Workers" of China Guodian Corporation.
The spirit of model workers encourages and inspires every body. The model workers have been contributing to the company's development with their unremitting hard work.
