Q-Cells North America has completed the final phase of construction work on its 69MW solar photovoltaic plant (PV), located in Ontario, Canada.

The project, owned by Starwood Energy Global Group, consists of three plants and more than 300,000 of Q-Cells' Q.BASE modules.

The project was financed by Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale and KfW IPEX-Bank.

Starwood Energy senior vice president, Himanshu Saxena, said the company is pleased to have completed the project on-time and under-budget. "We remain committed to making future investments in this sector," said Saxena.

Q-CELLS North America was appointed as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for all the phases.

Starwood Energy CEO, Bradford Nordholm, said: "The Starwood SSM Project is another excellent example of Starwood Energy's high value-add investments in power generation and transmission in North America.
