Three solar photovoltaic projects purchased by Duke Energy unit

Duke Energy Renewables has acquired three 1 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in North Carolina.

Duke Energy Renewables, part of Duke Energy's (NYSE: DUK) Commercial Businesses, purchased the portfolio of PV projects from ESA Renewables LLC, which designed and built the projects. The portfolio consists of the Murphy Farm, Wingate and Holiness solar projects.

The output from each project is sold through Blue Ridge Mountain EMC to the Tennessee Valley Authority, as part of TVA's Generation Partners program, for 10 years.

Canadian Solar manufactured all of the panels installed at the sites. ESA Renewables will handle operations, monitoring and maintenance at each of the solar farms.
