DONG Energy sells 24.8 pct of Walney wind farm

Danish utility group DONG Energy said it had agreed to sell a 24.8 percent stake in the Walney offshore wind farm to a consortium of Dutch Ampere Equity Fund and PGGM for around 16 million pounds ($25 million).

The state-controlled oil and gas group retains a 50.1 percent stake in the 367 megawawatt wind farm, which is under construction northwest of Britain.

The consortium will, on top of the 16 million pounds pay its pro rata share of the construction costs, DONG Energy said.
