Denmark's Vestas, the world's biggest wind turbine manufacturer, said on Monday it had won an order for turbines with combined capacity of 28 megawatts from the UK.
The order was for 14 units of Vestas' V80-2.0 MW turbine for the Kelburn Wind Farm in Scotland, Vestas Wind Systems A/S said.
Delivery was scheduled to be completed in mid-2011, and the contract included supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, a Vestas control system and a 10-year service agreement, Vestas said.
The company did not disclose financial details in line with its normal practice.
