NTPC Limited has invited bids to install 1.1 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on the buildings situated at its North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Plant premises.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, transportation, erection, testing, and commissioning of 1,110 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on the buildings of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Plant (3 x 660 MW).
The last date to submit the bids is November 24, 2021, and bids will be opened on November 26.
To qualify for the tender, the bidder should have executed the work of design, supply, erection, commissioning, and operation and maintenance for at least one project of 100 kW or above and a cumulative capacity of 880 kW and above.
The reference project should have been in successful operation for at least six months on the bid opening date, and the bidder should have developed it for itself or any other client.
In the last three financial years, the bidder’s average annual turnover should not be less than ?43.4 million (~$577,942). If the bidder does not satisfy the annual turnover criteria, its holding company will be required to meet the stipulated turnover requirements.
The net worth of the bidder should not be less than 100% of its paid-up share capital as on the last day of the preceding financial year.
Only ‘Class-I local suppliers’ are eligible to participate in the bidding process. The local content requirement to categorize a bidder as a ‘Class-I local supplier’ is a minimum of 50%.
Any bidder from a country that shares a land border with India will be eligible to bid in this tender only if the bidder is registered with the competent authority as mentioned in the bidding documents.
In April this year, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, invited bids for the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of 1 MW of rooftop solar power projects at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur for captive consumption.
Earlier, NTPC had floated a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 550 kW of rooftop solar systems at thermal power stations in the state of Odisha.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, NVVN has so far floated tenders for 56 MW of rooftop solar projects.
