Jema Energy announced its IFX6 series of bi-directional central inverters will now be available in the U.S., following its UL 1741 certification by SGS. The 1,500-V IFX6 is a smart inverter ranging in size from 1 MW to 3.2 MW, with either two or three power columns allowing for greater uptime, enhanced flexibility and easier maintenance.
Offered stand-alone or fully integrated on a power station skid, complete with a MV transformer and auxiliary cabinet, the IFX6 has flexible cabling options and is compatible with most MV transformers. The IFX6 is microgrid ready and available for utility-scale PV and energy storage applications anywhere in the United States. Standard features include LVRT, HVRT, LFRT, HFRT, anti-islanding, black start capability, STATCOM mode, Reactive Power by night and an ultra-fast response time of less than 20 milliseconds for frequency regulation.
“Jema has been a leader in grid service power conversion technology for decades and is highly experienced in solving unique project challenges with our clients,” said Mike Reno, VP of U.S. sales and business development. “The IFX6 UL certification comes at a time when more sophisticated grid support functionality is being required of inverters in the US.”
The IFX6 is available with warranty extensions up to 25 years and guarantees for uptime and roundtrip efficiency. Additionally, Jema has a customizable training and certification program for field O&M personnel enabling the capability to self-perform warranty service.
Whether a smart grid, microgrid, energy storage, storage augmentation or PV-only project, Jema’s IFX6 inverters and battery chargers offer an extensive array of technical capabilities and flexibility to optimize value, performance and reliability for utility scale PV and storage.
