The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has invited bids for the design, supply, procurement, and construction of 4 X 50 MW grid-connected MW solar power projects at the Dholera Solar Park in Gujarat.
The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years.
The estimated cost of the tender is 8.2 billion (~$110.43 million).
The last date to submit the bids is April 20, 2021. The pre-bid meeting will take place on April 16.
The project should be commissioned within 15 months from the date of the letter of intent.
Bidders will have to submit an amount of 82 million (~$1.10 million) as the earnest money deposit to participate in the tender. The successful bidder should submit a security deposit cum performance bank guarantee of 10% of the contract price within seven days of accepting the LoI.
The bidder should have supplied, erected, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects of cumulative installed capacity of 40% or higher of total bid capacity in MW, out of which at least one project should have been of 10 MW (AC) capacity. The reference project should have been in successful operation for at least 12 months before the bid opening date.
The bidder’s cumulative turnover for the last three financial years should be at least ₹5.6 billion (~$75.41 million) and net worth positive during the last financial year.
In January this year, L&T won the rights in the e-reverse auction held by GSECL to construct a 210 MW grid-connected solar power project in Gujarat’s Jamnagar district. For the 210 MW grid-connected solar power project, GSECL had invited bids in September last year.
Earlier, GSECL had floated a tender for 140 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects in the state.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, GSECL has so far floated tenders for 1 GW of solar power projects.
