Solar developers Pine Gate Renewables and Silver Creek Energy have entered into a joint venture to develop, finance and build utility-scale solar projects. The new holding company, Silver Pine Energy Holdings, is currently exploring more than 20 projects in the Southeast totaling more than 1 GW.
“Our team is very enthusiastic about the projected success for this new Silver Pine joint venture. Right now, we’re overseeing 22 projects in the Southeast and focused on bringing cost competitive solar to local communities in the region”, said Ben Catt, CEO of Pine Gate. “The principals at Silver Creek Energy have significant experience and tenure in the utility-scale solar space, and their talents dovetail perfectly with ours. The combined effort of our two organizations will help effectively develop dozens of new projects across the southeast and beyond for years to come, and we’re excited to get to work.”
The principals of Silver Creek Energy are former executives from Cypress Creek Renewables.
“With this new partnership, we are able to work on a dynamic new level of innovation in solar energy development and finance”, said Matt McGovern, CEO of Silver Creek Energy. “We are looking at the landscape of solar energy across the country and we continue to be enthusiastic about this pipeline. The combination of these projects with the expertise at Pine Gate Renewables is going to yield incredible results.”
