JA Solar and Irico Group New Energy signed a cooperation agreement! Estimated purchase amount 2.1 billion yuan!

On March 18th, JA Solar announced that the company signed a “strategic cooperation agreement” with Irico Group New Energy Company Limited and reached cooperation on the company’s purchase of photovoltaic glass products and services from Irico Group New Energy. During the term of the agreement, the company estimates that the total amount of products purchased from Irico Group New Energy is about 2.1 billion yuan (tax included).

JA Solar said that the signing of this agreement is in line with the company’s future business plan, which is conducive to ensuring the stable supply of auxiliary materials for the company’s module production and maintaining the company’s stable profitability.

According to the international Pv Website, JA Solar’s business covers the manufacturing of crystalline silicon rods, silicon ingots, silicon wafers, solar cells and photovoltaic modules, as well as the application of photovoltaic systems. According to Globaldata’s 2019 global module shipment ranking, the module shipments of JA Solar were 10.3 GW, ranking second in the world, up 17% from 8.8 GW in 2018.

Irico Group New Energy, a holding subsidiary of Caihong Group Co.,Ltd., was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong stock exchange (stock code: HK0438) in 2004. Irico Group New Energy has industrial bases in Shaanxi, Anhui, Jiangsu and other regions, and is committed to the development of photovoltaic industry and new materials industry.
