Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has invited bids for setting up an aggregate 100 MW capacity of ground-mounted, grid-connected solar projects across four regions in the state.
The selected developers shall be responsible for setting up the projects on build-own-operate basis only for the procurement of solar power by APDCL for a period of 25 years.
The projects shall be awarded through tariff based competitive bidding followed by reverse auction. Tariff ceiling is fixed at Rs 4 per unit. Online bids can be submitted till February 21. Bids will be opened on February 24.
Capacity allocation is 25 MW each for Region 1 (Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baska, Udalguri and Darrang), Region 2 (Goalpara, Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Nalbari, Guwahati), Region-3 (Sonitpur, Nagaon, Morigaon, Karbi Anglong, NC Hills, Golaghat, Jorhat) and Region-4 (Cachar, Hailakandi, Karimganj).
The capacity of each solar power project shall be minimum 5 MW. Developers can bid for anywhere from 5 MW to all of the available 25 MW capacity for the region in 5 MW increments. The said MW capacity should mean the AC capacity rating at the delivery point.
The projects must be commissioned within 18 months of the date of execution of power purchase agreement.
