The China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands list for 2019 was released at the 16th World Brand Summit in Beijing on June 26. GCL once again was the leader in the new energy industry, moving up five spots to 135 with a brand value of CNY43.975 billion (USD6.4 billion), accounting for growth of 25%.
In the 2019 analysis report China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands, the State Grid Corporation of China once again ranked first at a value of CNY457.536 billion (USD66.5 billion), followed by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Haier, Tencent, and China Life Insurance Co.
The list of China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands has been released by the World Brand Lab for 16 years. Rankings are based on economic value, extensive consumer research, market competition analysis, and projected revenues. Evaluations are carried out by looking at present earnings values as well as each company’s state of operations (including business revenue and growth) and the benefits brought to the company by the brand (including the added value index and brand strength coefficient).
