“The government should complete the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant's construction, but not install the fuel rods,” Taipei Deputy Mayor Tim Ting said yesterday.
The Taipei City Government yesterday released the results of the city's second opinion poll on the issue of a potential referendum over Nuke 4, as it is colloquially known, with 66 percent of Taipei residents willing to attend the potential referendum to express their opinions on the Nuke 4 issue, and 27 percent saying they would choose to abstain from the possible vote.
The results also show that 62 percent of Taipei residents want to halt Nuke 4 construction, and 21 percent want construction to continue.
